How Our Stories Work

Every story on this site is submitted by a reader or shared with us directly. Before publishing, our editors review each submission for clarity and length. Names, locations, and identifying details are routinely changed to protect the privacy of the people involved — both the storytellers and the people in their stories.

Because stories are personal recollections, they reflect the storyteller's memory and point of view. We publish them as told to us.
